The interest rate on the Checking and Money Market accounts were discussed. The Treasurer will talk to the bank about a possible rate increase.

ZONING:
A SHIPPING CONTAINER application was presented for Thomas & Nattharika Fraser for their property on McGilligan Road. Tom was present and told Board he needs it until his garage is built next year.
MOTION: Moved by Cummings; 2nd by LeBlanc to allow Tom and Nattharika Fraser to keep a shipping container on their property until September 1, 2026; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
Sawyer County submitted a CITATION ORDINANCE AMENDMENT for Sec. 1-2-5, the Citation and Sec 1-2-9, Schedule of Deposits. The amendment would increase the citation deposit amounts by $100 across the board.
MOTION: Moved by Cummings; 2nd by Czarnecki to approve the Sawyer County CITATION AMENDMENT; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Clerk in Training position was discussed at the Budget Workshop and funds were allocated for that position. Nita Kemp sent a letter of interest and was present at the meeting saying she is still interested and hopes the Board would consider her.
MOTION: Moved by LeBlanc; 2nd by Cummings to approve Nita Kemp as the CLERK IN TRAINING beginning January 1, 2026; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
MOTION: Moved by Czarnecki; 2nd by Cummings to ADOPT THE 2026 BUDGET; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
MOTION: Moved by Cummings; 2nd by LeBlanc to approve RESOLUTION NO. 2025-04 YEARLY SAWYER COUNTY K-9 DONATION in the amount of $1,000; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
