MONTHLY BOARD MEETING – October 10, 2018

Chair Laura Rusk called the Board of Supervisors meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.; present were Laura Rusk, Kay Ryan, Jim Dier, Patty Swaffield and Cindy Gutsch.

The September 12, 2018 minutes were reviewed.  No changes were heard; minutes approved.

The Treasures report was reviewed.  No changes were heard; treasurers report approved.

ROAD REPORT – Woodland Drive is done.  The Town of Hayward crack sealed a mile of Worlds End Road with a new material that works well.  Fahrner did the work and Reid will contact them to possibly use the same material for our 2019 crack sealing projects.

Laura has spoken to DOT, Excel Energy, LCO Development, LCO Tribal Office & our Engineers in regards to the Flowage Road project.  No draw down can be done at this point because everything is saturated due to the influx of water coming in.  Larry Lasieur and Alan Johnson from LCO Development were present to answer any questions and what steps will be done before freeze up.

The ATV & UTV TRAVEL ON SANDY POINT ROAD was reviewed again.  No further negative comments from residents have been heard, so that road will remain open to ATV & UTV travel.  Matt Mikesh from Chippewa Pines Resort said they would welcome a 25 MPH speed limit for automobiles on Sandy Point Road.

MOTION:  Bartenders license for Janelle Martin & Brian Larsen.  Moved by Kay Ryan; 2nd by Jim Dier; motion carried

MOTION: Approve ATV & UTV travel on Pines Road as requested by resident and Treeland Cottages.  Moved by Jim Dier; 2nd by Kay Ryan; motion carried.

The board discussed MOTORBOAT WAKE PROTECTION on the Chippewa Flowage.  An ordinance will be drafted for the November meeting regarding the wake length and distance to a shoreline, dock, pier, raft or restricted areas.

MOTION: APPROVE PAYMENT OF DISBURSEMENTS AND PAYROLL for checks #16647 to #16666 & electronic payments from 09/13/2018 to 10/10/2018 for a total expenditure of $169,977.15.  Moved by Kay Ryan; 2nd by Jim Dier; motion carried.

The Chair ended the meeting at 5:50 p.m.

SPECIAL MEETING – October 24, 2018

A Special Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Rusk at 4:38 p.m. Present were Laura Rusk, Kay Ryan, Jim Dier, Patty Swaffield and Cindy Gutsch.

MOTION:  Approve ATV/UTV travel on Treeland Road as requested by residents and Treeland Cottages.  Moved by Jim Dier; 2nd by Kay Ryan; motion carried.

MOTION: Change budget hearing date from 11/14/18 to 11/20/18.  Moved by Laura Rusk, 2nd by Jim Dier; motion carried.

2019 PROPOSED BUDGET prepared by all.

The meeting ended at 8:00 p.m.
