MONTHLY BOARD MEETING – June 12, 2013

Chairman Len Eckerly called the monthly Board of Supervisors meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.; all members present. The minutes of the May 8, 2013 Board meeting were approved as presented on a motion from Laura Rusk; 2nd Lee Wilmsen; motion carried. The minutes of the May 23, 2013 Road Tour meeting were approved as presented on a motion from Lee Wilmsen; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.

Lee Wilmsen made a motion to approve the Treasures report as presented; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.

ROAD REPORT – road weight limit restrictions were lifted on May 17, 2013; salt/sand mix has washed off Town trucks; 2008 Ford had repairs; beaver are very active at the Hemlock Haven culverts; Scott Lake Road was graded.

All LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWALS for the period of 07/01/13 to 06/30/14 were approved on a motion from Laura Rusk; 2nd Lee Wilmsen; motion carried.

Lee Wilmsen made a motion to approve 62 BARTENDER LICENSE APPLICATIONS for the period of 07/01/13 to 06/30/14 and deny 1 until applicant takes the necessary Beverage Class; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.

In order to PURCHASE A NEW COMPUTER for the Clerk, Lee Wilmsen made a motion to amend the Town budget by moving $1,000 from General Administration to General Government Outlay; 2nd by Laura Rusk; motion carried.

During the Annual Road Tour, it was discovered that several town roads do not have SPEED LIMIT SIGNS. Wisconsin law says that if there is no speed limit sign on a road it is presumed to be 55 mph. The board reviewed all town roads and the determined what the limit should be on roads without signs. Signs will be ordered and the Traffic Ordinance No. 95-03 will be re-written.

Laura Rusk made a motion to APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS AND PAYROLL for checks #15145 to #15173 from 05/09/2013 to 06/12/2013 for a total expenditure of $27,961.78; 2nd Lee Wilmsen; motion carried.
