OLD BUSINESS:
Chris Ester from the Forest Service let us know that the FOREST ROAD 303 CULVERT REPLACEMENT is too large for Sawyer County Highway Dept and the Town of Winter to complete. He suggested we find a private contractor. This means the estimated cost of the project will increase.
Jason Weaver, the LCO Road Superintendent, said there is someone he knows that could possibly do the work and give us an estimate.
The Board must agree on how much we are willing to contribute towards the cost and then apply for the bridge/culvert funding to the County.
MOTION: Moved by Cummings; 2nd Czarnecki to approve $10,000 towards the Forest Service culvert replacement on Forest Road 303 to apply for the County Bridge aid; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Jason also talked about having an MOU between LCO and the Town of Hunter for any work on roads that go through Tribal land. He suggested doing one similar to the Town of Bass Lake.
The Clerk reviewed the 2026 BUDGET as of the June 30, 2026 Income and Expense.

MOTION: Moved by Cumings; 2nd by Czarnecki to approve LOWERING SPEED LIMITS ON TOWN ROADS ORDINANCE NO. 2026-04

A PUBLIC NUISANCE ORDINANCE was reviewed and will be revisited at the August meeting.
