ROAD REPORT:  Gary cleaned out culverts, fixed signs, filled potholes, cut down dangerous trees, plowed and sanded roads and graded gravel roads.

ZONING:  Sawyer County Zoning submitted a PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT FOR “CAMPING CABINS” in Campgrounds.  The request was brought to them by the owners of Lake Chippewa Campground.  The request is to change the definitions in section 2.0 (15) and 6.610 to increase the allowable square footage from 300 to 400 square feet and to remove the prohibition of gas, water and sewer from camping cabins.  Don Robinson from the Lake Chippewa Campground was present and gave his reasons for this request.

MOTION: Moved by Clagett; 2nd by Phillips to deny the proposed amendment for “camping cabins” in Campgrounds by changing the definition in Section 2.0 (15) and 6.610; all in favor on a 3-0 vote; motion carried.

Some of the reasons are too many unanswered questions, density is not addressed, changing the square footage and adding water, sewer & gas would change this structure from a camping cabin to a tine house.
