MONTHLY BOARD MEETING – June 8, 2022

Chair Laura Rusk called the Board of Supervisors meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.; present were Laura Rusk, Kay Ryan, Jim Dier and Patty Swaffield; absent Cindy Gutsch.

The May 11, 2022 Special Meeting and Monthly Board Meeting minutes were reviewed; no changes were heard; minutes approved.  The May 10, 2022 Road Tour Meeting minutes were reviewed; no changes heard; minutes approved.

Treasures report was reviewed; no changes were heard; Treasurers report approved.

ROAD REPORT:   Gary removed weight limit signs; blew off salt/sand, and chip seal from all roads.  Cut and pushed down dead hazardous trees in Town right-of-way; sprayed wild parsnip; graded all gravel roads.

ZONING:  Sawyer County Zoning submitted an Ordinance Amendment to Section 2.0 DEFINITIONS
MOTION: Moved by Ryan and 2nd by Dier to approve the proposed Sawyer County 2.0 Definitions (93) Shipping Containers/Intermodal Containers (98) Storage Shed/Storage Structure, 4.26 Accessory Uses and Structures and 9.21 Land Use Permits; all in favor; motion carried

 NEW BUSINESS:

MOTION: Moved by Dier and 2nd by Ryan to approve Liquor License renewals for the period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023; all in favor; motion carried.

Two COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING MEMBERS are up for renewal.
MOTION: Moved by Dier and 2nd by Ryan to approve Laura Rusk and Nita Kemp for a one year as Comprehensive Planning members; all in favor; motion carried.

The Board discussed organizing a Group Meeting to discuss RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES in the Town of Hunter.  There should be one person per group such as law enforcement, snowmobile alliance, ATV alliance, Resort Association, etc.  The Board will make a list of the groups they feel should be included and discuss it at the July meeting.  Laura will talk to Tim Davidson to possibly head the group meeting.

During the budget workshop last year, it had been decided to reconstruct Tiger Musky Lane.  That decision was changed to just do part of the reconstruction this year which includes culvert replacement, remove rocks, ditching and possible gravel.  The remainder of the project will be done in 2023.  That leaves room to CRACK SEAL 11 ROADS in 2022.  The Clerk will put the bid add in the June 22 and 29 Sawyer County Record.

MOTION: Moved by Ryan; 2nd Dier to APPROVE PAYMENT OF DISBURSEMENTS AND PAYROLL for checks #17500 to #17515, electronic payments and account transfers from 05/12/2022 to 06/08/2022 for a total expenditure of $25,340.52; all in favor; motion carried.
