NEW BUSINESS:
Earlier this month Jim was contacted by Boating Law Administrator, Darren Kuhn, regarding LAKE PROTECTION.  He suggested that if we are seeking other than our ordinance, letters to the local State Senator regarding lake safety, lake protection and education would be in order.  Our hope is to have an audience with our local Senator to determine the possibility of a bill to the Legislature to a possible State law.

It was decided that the Town will get the TIGER MUSKY ROAD CONSTRUCTION BIDS out in stages.  Some of the work was done in 2022 but needed are bids for pulverizing, paving, gravel and shouldering.

All Board members signed the CODE OF ETHICS ORDINANCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Any new public official will be given the Ordinance and asked to sign the acknowledgement.

Names were drawn for PLACEMENT ON THE SPRING BALLOT as follows:
1 – Jim Dier     2 – Dennis Clagett    3 – Tim Davison

The Clerk re-wrote ORDINANCE 2023-01 ATV/UTV that added wording from the WTA Law Forms ordinance template.  Approving this revision was tabled until after Sawyer County approves their ATV/UTV ordinance.

The Board discussed DELINQUENT ROOM TAX business.  The Clerk and Treasurer has sent several messages to one business that has not yet paid their 3rd quarter room tax.
MOTION: Moved by Clagett; 2nd by Dier to send a letter along with a copy of our Room Tax Ordinance 2018-01 and ask that they pay promptly, or they will be assessed a $250 late fee; all in favor; motion carried.
