ROAD REPORT – mowing of town roads has started. The air conditioning still is not working and there is a transmission leak from the load control seal. We are waiting on a mechanic from John Deere to fix the problem. The 2008 Ford had repairs; the 2014 Ford truck has been ordered which will replace the 2006 Ford; water was drained from the corner on Conger Road near Timberlake Lodge.
The CULVERT ON CONGER ROAD will cost about $1,500 to replace plus the cost of black topping. Laura Rusk felt we should fix it now rather than waiting until next year. Lee Wilmsen questioned whether we have the authority to request a property owner to fill in the low areas. Lee Wilmsen made a motion to go ahead with replacing the Conger Road culvert; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.
The SNOWPLOW LETTER we are sending to residents specified their driveway be 18 feet wide. Len Eckerly asked if that was a requirement on our Driveway Permit. The Clerk said that it was not, but it did specify the entrance should be 24’ wide. Ty Sauder said that about ¾’s of the driveways are not in compliance with our contract. The letter was approved as written on a motion from Lee Wilmsen; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.
Faherner quoted $2 a pound to CRACK SEAL 20 roads for a total of $30,000. Total Asphalt quoted $1.13 per pound. Lee Wilmsen feels we should have flagging at the beginning and end of where the crack sealing is being done. The board cannot approve any quotes until 7 days after a class one ad requesting quotes has been published. The notice should state what the project is, what the estimated cost is and when the town wants it to begin and when it should be completed and how to contact the town to make an offer to do the job.
Len Eckerly reported on the work that needs to be done to fix the hydraulic leak and air conditioning on the TRACTOR/MOWER. The Board decided to fix whatever needs to be done now and look into possibly renting a mower this year and buy a new mower next year. Tractor Central is coming to look at the mower.
The Board will meet on July 22, 2014 at 1:00 to make a list of JOB DUTIES for Ty. He will also be there for the meeting with a list of what he understands are his duties.
BOARD OF REVIEW will be August 22, 2014; open book from 4:00 to 6:00 and board of review from 6:00 to 8:00.
Laura Rusk made a motion to APPROVE PAYMENT OF BILLS AND PAYROLL for checks #15516 to #15541 from 06/12/2014 to 07/09/2014 for a total expenditure of $19,750.35; 2nd Lee Wilmsen; motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m. on a motion from Laura Rusk; 2nd Lee Wilmsen; motion carried.

SPECIAL MEETING – July 24, 2014
The Special Meeting was opened by Chairman Eckerly at 1:05 p.m. All except the Treasurer were present.
Lee reported that there are 188 cracks to be sealed this year. Total Asphalt quoted $1.13 per pound. Fahrner Asphalt quoted a total of $17,600. Precision from Spooner called Lee but no quote was given. Lee made a motion to approve Total Asphalt quote and not exceed $15,000; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried.
Parking on Town roads – Len received a complaint that there are boat trailers from Indian Trail Resort parked on Flowage Road. Lee found a spot for them to make a parking area for trailers so the problem has been solved.
The open meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m. on a motion from Lee Wilmsen; 2nd Laura Rusk; motion carried. The Board then went into closed session.
